KESNIK- Kottayam- Architectural And Academic Wing

As per the decision of 23rd Governing body dated 23.04.2018 State level Architectural and Academic wing has been formed at Regional office Kottayam for preparing architectural designs all over the State (Corporate office as well as Regional Centers). Other ongoing activities and projects of Regional Centre Kottayam blended with RNK Pala along with 2 technical staff, 2 ministerial staff and 3 field staff .

The Architectural and Academic wing office started functioning independent during last week of June 2018. This office prepare Architectural designs of all kinds of buildings as well as interiors and give consultation stage wise supervision on request. We also prepare estimates, project proposals and BOQ for tendering. Housing guidance cell is also functioning in this office.

We also give training programs to Engineering college and polytechnic students, residential associations etc and also conducts seminars and workshops in collaboration with various universities and departments. Various artisan training programs are also conducting under this office.

Regional Centre Kottayam was started in 1994 for executing constructions in M.G. University Centre was having one production centre for producing hollow concrete blocks, concrete door and window frames, Ferro and one wood craft unit for producing wooden doors, windows and ventilators in 5 acre land of M.G. University.The centre was having construction wing to carry out various projects in Government , nongovernmental departments and private sector.The consultancy wing of the centre prepare design ,estimate and project reports .

A testing lab was also set up under the centre at Neendoor for the quality testing of various building materials, cubes, etc. Kalavara’s were set up in Neendoor and Udayanapuram (Vaikom) to provide building materials like cement, steel etc at subsidy rates to BPL families. Various artisans training programs were also conducted in the centre.

There were 3 technical staff, 3 ministerial staff and 3 field staff on permanent category and one draftsman on contract basis.
